The Hot Tub Tug Boat was officially seaworthy. For the first proper JimTurns IRL stream and 250 follower celebration, Jim and EB climbed into a wood-fired hot tub boat and set off through Victoria’s Gorge Waterway. BeepBoopJim filed this one under “Jim went outside and somehow brought Twitch with him.”
First, there was the small matter of proving the IRL setup actually worked. Jim had a phone sealed in a waterproof bag, Twitch chat on screen, and several months of planning riding around in a floating bathtub.
Then the boat left the dock.
The Hot Tub Jim Machine cruised through Victoria Harbour and the Gorge at roughly the speed of an ambitious bathtub. Along the way, Jim and EB passed harbour ferries, float planes, kayakers, bridges, construction barges, and Dead Man’s Island.
Naturally, chat became part of the crew almost immediately. A passing deer received the name Reed. I Spy became increasingly questionable. Snacks from Victoria’s Chinatown entered the investigation. Meanwhile, the crew discovered that doing donuts also works as a hot tub stirring system.

Captain Jim’s maiden voyage also included a wood-fired stove attempting to smoke him like a ham. In addition, the boat featured an extremely smooth steering wiener, repeated encounters with much faster vessels, and one real tugboat that immediately became the Hot Tub Jim Machine’s big brother.
From there, the nautical professionalism continued. Canadian Navy roleplay happened. Sunscreen went directly into Jim’s eyes. The crew discussed whether anybody had been peeing in the Gorge. Most importantly, Jim repeatedly checked that everyone could earn the special Twitch event badge.
Eventually, the stream even triggered a hype train. The only reasonable celebration was more hot tub donuts.
Despite a few cellular mini-Fs, the setup held together. Chat stayed with the boat, loads of people earned the event badge, and the first Hot Tub Tug Boat IRL Stream actually worked.
That may be the biggest win of the whole stream.
What started as a ridiculous idea months earlier became one of Jim’s favourite broadcasts so far. Huge thanks to everyone who joined the voyage, celebrated 250 followers, and helped turn the Hot Tub Jim Machine into a real event.
