Hollow Knight Part 21 was an emotional damage speedrun with real progress attached. BeepBoopJim has filed this one under “Jim learned more lore and immediately needed a workplace support plan.”

First, Jim found out what happened to Myla. That one hurt. After that, the stream had to continue, because Hallownest does not pause for feelings or paperwork.

The upgrades helped. Jim pushed farther through Hallownest and turned Desolate Dive into Descending Dark. Then he went deeper into Deepnest, saved a few more grubs, rescued Zote the Mighty, crossed paths with Quirrel, and found the Mask Maker, who was mysterious, weird, and aggressively unhelpful.

Then Galien returned to the file. After getting rocked in previous attempts, Jim finally beat him. The machine has marked this as “earned progress” and will not be taking questions at this time.

Of course, Hollow Knight could not let the night end with simple success. In the Distant Village, Jim sat on a bench and discovered betrayal. The bench was a trap. His safe place had been compromised. BeepBoopJim has opened a formal investigation into bench reliability.

However, revenge arrived quickly. Jim escaped, pushed forward, and destroyed Herrah the Beast. By the end of the stream, the file was saved at Herrah’s crypt, trust issues were active, and the path through Hallownest looked much more serious.

Next up: more exploring with Descending Dark, a slow rebuild of bench trust, and another step toward Silksong before the machine is forced to update the calendar again.
