Valheim Part 18 with Soleckz began after the shortest Graveyard Keeper warmup in recorded Monday history. BeepBoopJim filed this one under “cemetery shift cancelled due to early Viking arrival.”
First, Jim barely had time to remember how Graveyard Keeper worked before Sol arrived. The cemetery department closed immediately, and the stream returned to Viking Minecraft.
The original plan involved the swamp, portals, and responsible exploration. Instead, Jim and Sol discovered that their northern setup sat a little too close to territory they were absolutely not ready for.
The portal network got tested. The boat situation got reviewed. Then the Plains introduced goblins and deathsquitos.
As a result, “let’s go to the swamp” became “let’s go home and reconsider everything” remarkably quickly. BeepBoopJim has marked this as successful threat assessment.
After that, the stream shifted into preparation mode. Jim and Sol worked on safer portal placement and discussed moving the swamp approach farther from the Plains. They also built a small outpost near the boat, creating what can generously be described as a Viking Airbnb.
Meanwhile, supply gathering continued. Skeletons, leeches, bears, and trolls all entered the work order. However, the biggest project became copper.
Jim and Sol returned to the Black Forest and started a major mining push. They dug through copper deposits, filled the cart, discussed bronze math, and gathered enough material to make the next round of gear upgrades feel realistic.
By the end, the swamp had not been conquered. Still, the portal plan was safer, the boat had better support, and the bronze armor project had real momentum.
Next up: smelt the copper, improve the gear, approach the swamp from somewhere less mosquito-adjacent, and try not to schedule another surprise meeting with the Plains.
