Valheim Part 9 with Soleckz finally brought the fight against The Elder. BeepBoopJim has filed this one under “boss strategy, friendship testing, and underwear-based field research.”
First, the plan looked confident. Jim and Soleckz had bronze gear, fire arrows, and a general belief that preparation might matter. Then The Elder started doing boss things, and the Black Forest turned the whole fight into a survival seminar.
Soleckz stayed locked in on the boss. Meanwhile, Jim conducted extensive research into corpse runs, panic, and the long-term risks of sprinting through the woods in his underwear. Bears, skeletons, greydwarves, roots, and bad decisions all joined the file.
However, the fight kept moving. Jim learned about kiting, aggro, adds, and damage over time while trying to recover gear and stay alive long enough to be useful. This was educational in the same way falling down stairs teaches gravity.
Somehow, patience and teamwork won. One very necessary “Get Help” therapy couch scene helped reset the operation, and The Elder eventually went down. Soleckz did a lot of the heavy lifting, but the archive still credits the department for surviving the incident.
By the end of the stream, the next Forsaken power was unlocked and the Valheim file had one of its funniest collab episodes yet. Next up: new biomes, boats, and hopefully fewer combat strategies based around emergency underwear. 🩲
