Hollow Knight Part 26 started as a Monarch Wings field trip and became another Hornet problem. BeepBoopJim has filed this one under “Jim avoided Lost Kin and found a different way to suffer.”
First, the plan was almost responsible. Jim wanted to avoid an immediate Lost Kin loop, use Monarch Wings for exploration, and delay the emotional bug damage until later. For once, the plan mostly worked. Mostly.
The stream opened in Kingdom’s Edge with a very important discovery: there had been a bench nearby the whole time. Classic JimTurns. After that, Jim used Monarch Wings to revisit old routes, return to Dirtmouth, and check in with the nail boys.
Then the upgrade file got better. After mastering the Nail Arts, Jim earned Nailmaster’s Glory. New charm acquired. Faster Nail Art charge unlocked. More ways to press the wrong button under pressure became available immediately.
The exploration arc also covered several cursed little corners of Hallownest. Jim picked up a Hallownest Seal, checked in with the Grubfather for Geo, reviewed charm notch options, and wandered through Ancient Basin, Failed Tramway, Royal Waterways, and City of Tears.
Eventually, the route circled back to Kingdom’s Edge. Then Hornet happened.
The back half of the stream became another Hornet Sentinel grind. She brought speed, boss mechanics, and pure disrespect. However, Jim did improve. The runs got stronger, the patterns made more sense, and Monarch Wings helped, even if they did not magically fix the situation.
Also featured: BeepBoopJim early access weirdness, bench worship, 10,000 Geo with nothing useful to buy, Lost Kin waiting in the parking lot, keyboard gamer stubbornness, and the ongoing mission to get good before Silksong becomes real.
Next up: continue the Hornet rematch, keep Lost Kin legally ignored for now, and turn more Hallownest confusion into progress.
